8 Day Golf Tour of Sri Lanka

Day 01 : Welcome to Sri Lanka

  • Greeted by our Taya Finch representative on arrival. 
  • Travel to Colombo and proceed for hotel check-in.

Colombo is a fascinating city with a happy blend of East & West, past & present, with a charm of its own. A less known but amazingly true fact is that Colombo has a superb range of high quality restaurants serving food from all over the world and some of the best shopping opportunities in Asia.

  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 02: The Royal Colombo Golf Club

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Travel to the Royal Colombo Golf club for a morning Tee off.

The Royal Colombo Golf Club

The Royal Colombo Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Sri Lanka and the second oldest Royal Golf Club outside the United Kingdom. A fully equipped 18 holes course including a driving range, practice Putting Green and Pitch Green.

  • Conduct a Colombo sightseeing tour followed by the rest of the day spent at leisure.
  • Dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 03: The Hill Capital (Colombo - Kandy)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Travel to Kandy followed by a visit to the Kandy Temple.

Kandy

The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings which is a world heritage site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive.

  • Witness a Cultural dance.
  • Proceed for hotel check-in followed by the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Victoria Golf Club

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Travel to the Victoria Golf Club and proceed for Tee off.

Victoria golf course is rated amongst the 100 most beautiful courses in the world by Golf Digest,  It is a 30 min. drive from Kandy. The club has equipment renting facilities while boasting an 18 holes course with a length of 6945 yards.

  • Travel to Kandy a conduct a Kandy sightseeing tour.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Royal Botanical Gardens (Kandy - Nuwara Eliya)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya.

Royal Botanical Gardens

Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya attracts 2 million visitors annually and It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka.

  • Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya, En route Tea Factory visit.
  • Upon arrival proceed for hotel check-in.
  • Dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Golfing with the sights

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and proceed for Tee off.

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club

The Nuwara Eliya golf course covers approximately 40.5 hectares (100 acres) of land and was originally built amidst the tea plantations of this central highland region, It is an 18 hole, 5,550 m (6,070 yd.), Par 70 layout.

  • Travel to Nuwara Eliya and conduct a sightseeing tour followed by a visit to the Seetha Amman Temple.

Nuwara Eliya's climate lent itself to becoming the prime sanctuary of the British civil servants and planters in Ceylon. Nuwara Eliya, called Little England, was a hill country retreat where the British colonialists could immerse in their pastimes such as fox hunting, deer hunting, elephant hunting, polo, golf and cricket.

Day 07: Golfing in the Hills

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and proceed for Tee off.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: Until Next Time (Nuwara Eliya - Colombo - Airport)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Travel to Colombo and conduct a Colombo sightseeing tour followed by a shopping excursion.
  • Proceed to the airport in time for the departure flight.
