Coco Bay

Situated in southern Sri Lanka, Coco Bay is a private boutique resort hidden away right on the beach in a secluded bay. Surrounded by utmost tranquility, warm smiles will greet you from the moment you step in.

The unique feature of this magnificent resort is that one can enjoy the panoramic view of the turquoise Indian Ocean from anywhere in the resort. All spacious rooms and suites have a breathtaking view of the ocean some with private balconies, Jacuzzis and plunge pools. I had the privilege of staying on the privilege floor in the Grande Riviera suite which was a marvelously spacious luxurious suite with a Jacuzzi on the private balcony overlooking the ocean.


I was surprised with not only an extensive pillow menu but also a unique herbal soap menu which is presented on a tray to choose from by a butler, a rather unusual gesture which added a smile on my face. The welcome drink which I received was a signature Coco Bay mocktail which was a burst of tropical flavours on the palate, a must try.


The ever so attentive staff at Coco Bay are eternally at your service and are sure to fuss over you from the moment you step in to make your holiday a memorable one. Mr. Reny De Silva, the resort Manager with many years of hospitality industry experience is a passionate leader who motivates his team in to delivering their best. He didn’t fail to mention that they are following the vision of the Managing Director of Coco Bay whose primary concern is delivering exceptional service.  


Every nook and corner of Coco Bay is oozing with the aura of happiness and peacefulness, something that you will experience even within yourself during your stay. With a well experienced Food and Beverage Manager and an extremely talented Executive Chef, the cuisine at Coco Bay is vibrant, flavourful and bursting with fresh ingredients which is sure to provide a unique gastronomical experience. The seafood platter is like no other, marinated in herbs and spices it’s sure to tantalize your taste buds and is highly recommended. The classic French favourite, the chocolate fondant is a must try during dessert as it will add a touch of magic to your meal with its soft gooey centre and rich chocolate taste. The Executive Chef will not fail to surprise you with a gastronomical experience you’re sure to never forget.


If you wish, the wonderful staff at Coco Bay will set up a private grill for you and your loved one in any part of the resort be it your own private balcony, the beach or the roof top terrace to suite your mood and desire.
