Day 01 : Ayubowan

Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed by our Taya Finch representative who will transfer you to the fishing village of Negombo.

Spend the day on leisure or conduct a sightseeing tour of Negombo.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 : Journey through the scripts

After breakfast proceed to Chilaw to visit the Munneshwaram Temple, a Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya with Sita in one of King Ravana’s Vimanas (carriage). He felt he was followed by Bramhaasthi Dosham as he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. When the carriage was passing over Munnesawaram, he felt that it was the carriage which was vibrating and realized it was not a curse.

After visiting the Temple proceed to Kandy and on arrival conduct a sightseeing tour of Kandy including a visit to the Kandy Temple.

Day 03 : On these hills of Ramboda

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel you will be taken to Nuwara Eliya. En-route visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda.

On the hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sita, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka built the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple which is visited by thousands of devotees every year.

Thereafter make visit to a tea factory where you can learn the process of how the finest tea in the world is made while have a chance to taste the best.

On arrival in Nuwara Eliya conduct a sightseeing tour including a visit to the Gregory Lake and afterwards check-in at the hotel.

Day 04 : The Pleasure garden gifted to Sita

Breakfast at hotel.

Visit the Seeta Amman Temple. The stream that runs from the hills catered to the need of the Sita Devi. Now there is a Temple for Rama, Sita Devi, Luxshmana and Hanuman by the side of this stream.

Visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens which was one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana. This was an exotic pleasure garden where the King kept the depressed Sita and insisted in marrying him. This was where Sita was met by Hanuman who brought her Rama’s ring to say he was looking for her. While he offered to carry her back, she refused as it would be an insult for Rama’s honor.

Afternoon visit the Divurumpola Temple, the place where Sita took oath proving her chastity to her Husband Rama. Continuing the practice for thousands of years, villagers still pledge their fidelity or take oaths there and this has been respected and worshipped by people down the age

Day 05 : Architectural brilliance of King Ravana

After breakfast proceed to the small town of Ella where you find the Ravana Falls and Cave that claims to be the location Ravana was hiding Sita. King Ravana is said to have lived in one of the caves above the waterfall.

Thereafter transfer to Katharagama/Tissamaharama and check-in at your hotel for the night.

Optional – Proceed for a game drive at the Yala National Park.

Evening make a visit to the Katharagama Temple, a temple to the Hindu God of War “Murugan”. You may visit the temple in time for the pooja.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06 : Herbal Garden

With a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel proceed to Galle, en-route visiting the Rumassala Temple.

Rumassala Rock is one of the five Sri Lankan spots believed to originate from part of Mount Dronagiri. They fell down when Hanuman carried Dronagiri on his way back to Lanka in order to use its Sanjiwani herb to rescue Lakshmana and Rama who were in need after severe injuries from the war against Ravana.   

After the visit to the Rumassala Rock transfer to Galle for a tour around the Galle Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

On completion transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of your evening on leisure by the beach.

Day 07 : City Bound

After breakfast proceed to Colombo and make a visit to the Kalaniya Temple.

Kalaniya Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary in the first place because it is believed to be visited by the Lord Buddha himself. Within the temple premises there is a Hindu Shrine which is dedicated to Lord Vibhishana who was the younger brother of Ravana. During the legendary war he became a supporter of Lord Rama because he disapproved Ravana’s trespass of Sita’s abduction. After Ravana’s death Rama appointed Vibhishana as the new King of Lanka. He is venerated by the Singhalese Buddhists as a God as they believe him to be one of the main protectors of the Island.    

Thereafter conduct a sightseeing tour of Colombo where you will be witness the Independence Square, BMICH, Galle Face Green, Town Halls and Old Dutch Hospital etc.

On completion transfer to the airport in time for the departure flight.
