Itinerary

Day 01 : Lets Begin the Fun

Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be met and assisted by our Taya Finch representative on your transfer to Negumbo.
Check in at your super comfortable hotel, unpack and spend the evening relaxing.
You will be happy to crawl into bed as night falls and catch some much-needed rest.

Day 02 : What a Day

Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel and then make your way to Dambulla where on the way you will get the chance to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its history is traced back to the first century B.C.
One you arrive, enjoy some peace and quiet and then head out for lunch at a place of your choosing.
Be sure to eat well because the evening holds a wildlife safari at the Minneriya National Park.
This national park is one of the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers, and wading birds. And the town itself makes a pleasant base for a day or two, fringed by a huge, beautiful tank in a relaxed ambience.

The dry season, from May to September, is reckoned to be the best time to visit as by then water in the tank has dried up, exposing grasses and shoots to varieties of grazing animals.

Retire for the night at your hotel in Dambulla.

Day 03 : Treasure Trove

Satisfy your stomach with a hearty breakfast at the hotel and then prepare to depart to Anuradhapura, where culture and history meet.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient kingdom is a place of wonder, with ancient ruins and a hub of culture and religion. So much to discover that you will be spoilt for choice

Sample a lovely local lunch at your own arrangement before returning to the hotel to relax and spend the evening at your will.

Your overnight stay will be in Dambulla.

Day 04 : More Discoveries

Fill up on breakfast at the hotel and then move on to Polonnaruwa, another ancient Kingdom in Sri Lankas glorious past.
The 2nd capital of Sri Lanka, built in the 11th and 12th centuries A.D, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the ruins of the Royal Palace among many others which also include historic places of worship.
You are sure to find a lovely place to lunch before getting back to the hotel to rest and retire for the night.

Day 05 : Hills Galore

Wake up to a tasty breakfast at the hotel and then leave for Kandy. En route, visit a spice garden in matale followed by a spice infused lunch which you will definitely enjoy.
Once in Kandy check in at the hotel and rest because you will be heading out again in the evening for an evening visit of the Temple of the tooth relic followed by tea at the famed Queens hotel.
Just north of the lake, the golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lankas most important Buddhist relic a sacred tooth of the Lord Buddha, although the relic is only unveiled to the public on special occasions. Still, the temple is a must-see in Sri Lanka.
Find yourself rejuvenated after a restful night in Kandy.

Day 06 : Royal Reward

After a lovely breakfast at the hotel visit the Royal Botanical Garden which was once reserved exclusively for Kandyan royalty. Today everyone can visit the 60 hectares gardens, the largest and most impressive botanic gardens in Sri Lanka.
Thereafter go on a city tour of beautiful Kandy encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center. There is so much to see in terms of culture, art and craft and as this is the center of the islands handicraft industry where you will also find precious gems of many varieties including the worlds best blue and star sapphires.
Have a wonderful lunch at your own arrangement and then spend your evening doing whatever you wish.
A restful nights stay in Kandy is sure to have you rejuvenated by morning.

Day 07

Start the morning with a good breakfast at the hotel and then leave for Galle.
Galle is the gorgeous seaside destination in the south of Sri Lanka. A sought-after spot for some lovely experiences, it is bursting with the scent of spices and salty winds, and lays claim to a collection of Dutch-colonial buildings which is like stepping back in time.

Enjoy a nice lunch in any of the eateries in the town and explore the area at leisure.
A blissful nights sleep awaits in Galle.

Day 08

Begin the day with a good breakfast at the hotel and do what you like in the morning before taking some time out for lunch at a place of your choice.
In the evening visit the Galle Fort which was built in 1588 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be witness to the colonial era architecture within the Fort and allow the charm of yesteryear to enfold you. Some lovely shopping also awaits within the Fort.
Have a pleasant night in Galle at the end of a glorious holiday.

Day 09 : Until Next Time

The airport is around 3 hours away so you will leave in time to catch you departing flight back home. Heres to a super holiday
