Itinerary

WELCOME TO SRI LANKA

On arrival a Tayafinch representative will be awaiting to welcome your family to the beautiful island. Introduce your selves to the hotel today after a 20 min drive. Check-in at the hotel and relax till late afternoon.

Let us escort you to the Muthurajawela, the “king’s swamp of treasure” to treat your eyes with a glimpse of the beautiful flora and fauna the island inherits from the Mother Nature. While touring by a local boat eye on for the indigenous and migratory birds, fiddler crabs and play with baby crocodiles in the lagoon.

Explore the Sri Lankan culinary wonders on your own tonight prior to sleep.

A Day with a Gentle Giant

A day with much excitement to commence after breakfast. Drive for two hours to “have your very own elephant for a day” at Millennium foundation where you can, touch, walk, even bath your elephant while looking in closely to the day of your new pet. Be ready with the clothes to change, elephant can be really playful and try to spray you water.

Then proceed to your next stop Sigiriya, named after the ancient kingdom of King Kashyapa and check-in at the hotel. Evening is to explore the habitats of gentle giants in the wild. Surprise yourselves with herds of elephant gathering to perform their daily rituals of seeking water.

Travel back to your hotel to find the comforts of sleep.

FLASH BACK TO THE PAST

Today after breakfast, put yourself in to a villagers’ life in a rural village in Sri Lanka. Your journey will first begin on the wheels of a bullock cart, then you walk through the cultivations, mingle with the villagers and be their most welcomed guest and enjoy the Ceylon delights prepared just for you at a country house.

Evening you are free to enjoy your leisure time.

Optional- Visit the ancient king’s palace, where the imagination of ancient Sri Lankan harmonizes with the nature. Climb up to the pools of the royal family at the top of the rock to watch the sun blending its colors to the horizon.


The Last Stronghold

Let us escort to you to the next Kingdom, the last stronghold of Sinhalese Kings, Kandy. Enroute , stop by Dambulla Cave, which rises above the valley storing wondrous paintings and statues.

Indulge in an Ayurveda head and shoulder massage while the kids explore the culinary arts of Sri Lanka and involve in the cookery demonstration. Surprise them with the certificates to prove their mastery on Ceylon gastronomy back at their home town.

Then proceed to Kandy where you will be introduced to the town by a sightseeing tour followed by a visit to the gem museum to please you with the performances of Kandyan dancers to the beats of Ceylon traditional drummers prior to hotel check-in.

Dreamy Train Ride

Today morning is to obtain the blessings by offering flowers, from the temple of tooth, the most sacred temple protecting the tooth relic of Lord Buddha.

Then let us take you through a complete “Tea experience” the tale begins from a tea leaf in a plantation. Follow it through its production cycle in a tea factory and you may taste the final outcome in a perfect cuppa.

Then travel to the train station in Kandy to take a scenic train ride, the journey amidst the tea plantations, misty mountains, country houses and farmlands is nothing less to a fairytale.  Take a minute to greet the smiling nation or to freeze the cascades passing by from your camera.

On arrival to Nanu Oya station meet your personal chauffeur awaiting for you. Continue to you hill country retreat for dinner and overnight stay.


Little England

Wake up to a misty morning and serve your selves a well-deserved breakfast. Then take a tour to explore the “Little England”, stunning landscapes, colonial buildings still boasts the bygone heritage of the city.

Visit the New Zealand dairy Farm in Ambewela, and strawberry farms to enjoy the freshly plucked strawberries.

Your next stop would be Gregory Lake, water sports in the chilly town is a new level of experience. Let it be a relaxed paddling boat or you are craving for an adrenaline rush you got numerous options open here.

Majestic Creatures

Pack up to spot elephants once again and many more species. Travel to Udawalawe and check-in at the hotel. Evening visit the best National Park in Sri Lanka for elephant spotting in the grasslands and bush forests.

Beach Haven

Today transfer to the southern coasts of Sri Lanka to define a perfect beach holiday.

Check-in at the hotel to rewind by the pool or beach while sipping your favorite drink    


Marine Secrets

An early morning start would take you to Mirissa harbor. Cruise to the deep ocean to witness the giants in the ocean surrounded by hundreds of dolphins to guide your way to the whales.

Evening watch the stilt fisherman, Sri Lanka’s very own fishing culture. When the sunset creates the perfect back ground step into a stilt to seize a moment in your lens of camera.

Proceed back to the hotel for overnight stay and dinner.
